They are working with FANUC to host qualifiers for this year's Industrial Robotics competition at Smart Manufacturing & Engineering Week!
The competition has been designed to accommodate participants from different levels and is accessible to people with little to no knowledge of robotic systems as well as those with a robotics background.
The Qualifiers:
After the Entry Stage, successful participants will move forward and take part in the exhilarating qualifiers round onsite live at Drives & Controls, part of Smart Manufacturing & Engineering Week 2024 at the NEC in Birmingham.
The qualifiers will be held as full-day events, with morning and afternoon sessions on June 5th and 6th. (For those participating, an additional remote training session will be conducted on May 15th via Microsoft Teams from 09:30 to 15:00.)
On the day of the qualifiers, the onsite team will provide a brief run-through with the robots. Each team will be assigned to a robot cell and given a task to complete within the specified time frame.
Results from the Qualifying Stage will be given by July 11th, after which FANUC will be offering all successful teams the opportunity for some hands -on training in their world-class academy. The finalists will then come together to compete in the National Finals in November.
